  • Congratulations to our MS Academic Team!  They were runners up at the regional tournament in Wynnewood.  They will compete in the state Competition at OU in April.

  • Congratulations to DECA members Clayton English, McKenna Gay, and Kenzie Hooser who placed in the top 5 Internationally in the Knowledge Matters Virtual Challenge.  Clayton English - Hotel Management, McKenna Gay - Fashion Marketing, Kenzie Hooser - Personal Finance.

  • Congratulations to Maggi Dansby.  She has been recognized by the Oklahoma Academic Coaches Association as an Honorable Mention Academic All-Stater. She will be recognized at the Academic All State Banquet in April.

  • Congratulations to Maggi Dansby and Caroline Skaggs, who have both been named as national semi-finalists in the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.  They are two of 1,928 semi-finalists selected from more than 93,000 applicants.  That places them in the top 2% nationally at this point in the competition.  Good luck Maggi and Caroline in the next step of the Coca-Cola Scholars Program!
  • Latta FCCLA competed in their District STAR Events today at ECU. From left to right: Payton Noland placed 2nd in Creed Speaking and Interpretation, Madison Crispin and Talia Roberts placed 1st in Repurpose and Redesign, Sydney Cowden placed 1st in Career Investigation, Katie Crabtree placed 1st in Creed Speaking and Interpretation, Anna Mearns placed 1st in Children’s Literature, Brookelyn Trent placed 2nd in New Member Facts, and Kenzie Hooser places 1st in Career Investigation.

  • Congratulations to Xavier Hamilton (Bass 1 Mixed Chorus) and Elizabeth Crawford (Soprano 2 Treble Chorus) for being selected for the 2020 OKMEA All State Honor choir. They will go to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center and work with a clinician with other choral students from throughout the state and perform the concert at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center on January 18th at noon.

  • Congratulations to Xavier Hamilton, Elizabeth Crawford and Bailey Howe for being selected for the Southwest American Director Association Honor Chorus. These students auditioned and were selected to perform with other students from throughout our region in the Nation to perform in concert in Little Rock Arkansas in March 2020.

  • On October 30th, 6 freshman STUCO members attended The University of Central Oklahoma Leadership Conference 2019. They learned about different leadership styles as well as how to navigate the game of Life. Tybrie Wood and Auburn King were awarded a $1000 dollar scholarship to UCO for future endeavors.

  • Congratulations to our HS Academic Team! They came in third place at their Regional Tournament, and will compete in the Area Tournament in January!

  • Kaycee Reeves placed first in her category at the southeast area AFR Speech Contest in Wilburton. She will compete at State in Stillwater December 7th.

  • Congratulations to Latta Organization of Speech and Theater for placing 4th in the State One Act competition this last weekend. Elizabeth Crawford and Noah Hinson were selected as All-State cast members. You have one last opportunity to experience this moving performance. Join us tonight at 7pm in the auditorium.
