Latta Public School is honored to announce their 2019-2020 Teachers of the Year. Mrs. Kristi Smith has been named the 2019-2020 Latta Elementary Site and District Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. Tammy Collins has been named as Latta’s Secondary Site Teacher of the Year.  Click here for more information.     FCCLA attended their State Convention Thursday, April 4. Caroline Skaggs was elected as the 2019-2020 State Executive Council President. Hope Wear was also elected onto the State Executive Council. Kyndal Schlup placed 1st in STAR Events. Kaleigh Russell and Abby Grand placed 3rd in their STAR Events. FCCLA also placed 3rd in the Oklahoma Challenge Distracted Driving Contest. FCCLA was also a Gold Star Chapter this . . .

Congratulations to LHS Alumnus Wil Crawford, recently named a Hatton W. Summers Scholar upon being accepted into the Oklahoma City University School of Law for the Fall of 2019.  Wil is shown presenting his honors thesis at Georgetown University in Washington DC this past summer.   All school districts in Oklahoma have been given a choice by the Oklahoma State Department of Education to give the ACT or SAT CCRA (College and Career Readiness Assessment) to their districts 11 th graders for spring 2019 testing.  The CCRA test Latta Public Schools has chosen to give is the ACT.  If anyone has any comments or questions about our choice, contact Wendy Norton Latta Public Schools District Test Coordinator at 580.332.3298 or . . .
