In memory of Debbie Allen, a longtime beloved music teacher at Latta School, a scholarship is being established to be presented each year to a graduating senior music student.

Miss Allen taught music for thirty years at Latta School, and, following a long fight with cancer, passed away in the summer of 2024. Miss Allen influenced students across all grades.

This scholarship is set up to honor Miss Allen and her dedication to Latta students.

If you wish to donate, please write a check to "Latta Partners in Excellence Foundation," and then mail it to Latta School, 13925 County Road 1560, Ada, OK 74820.

You may also drop this by the Latta Superintendent's office, and give it to Andrea Nickell by Tuesday, May 12th at 3:00 P.M.

We would like to thank Kati Cain from the Chickasaw Nation for coming today. Kati is a Chickasaw citizen, research specialist, and genealogist for the Chickasaw Nation Literary Arts Division. She spoke to high school JOM challenge bowl team.

Caymen Smith was named an OBCA All-Star. He will play in the All-Star game on June 6th at UCO
