Sixth grade had a wonderful morning at the Health Fair! Our students learned about physical and mental health, practiced CPR skills, and got in some exercise! Thank you to our health teacher, Mr. Standridge, and to Health Corp for putting this on for our students! 💪🏼👟🩺🧠🐾

Congratulations to the Pontotoc Technology Center 2025 Student of the Year, LHS Senior Biotech student Talise Parnell!


This summer, Latta's Darci Reeves and Seth Reeves will use a $10,000 Fund for Teachers grant to pursue a deeper knowledge in the production of locally sourced produce and how to prepare the produce in the Skagit Valley of northwest Washington State. They designed this fellowship to cultivate student interest and equip students to produce and prepare sustainable food. Darci and Seth plan to depart on their eduventure on June 14th.These teachers are two of 355 pk-12 teachers from across the country awarded $1.625 million in Fund for Teachers grants this summer.

Congratulations to Beau Griffin and Jocelyn James for competing at State FFA Speech in Stillwater on Friday night. Jocelyn was state runner up in Extemporaneas, and the State Champion In Ag Policy. She will compete one more time at the State FFA Convention to see if she will represent Oklahoma at the National Convention this fall in Indianapolis. To make the FFA State Speech contest puts you in the top 0.3% of Oklahoma membership. Way to Represent Latta!!
