LMS FIELD DAY 2026 🏅🏃🏻♀️🏃♂️📣

This week, we’re celebrating our amazing school nurse, April Sanders, for Nurse Appreciation Week!
Mrs. Sanders goes above and beyond every single day to care for our students and staff. Whether it’s a scraped knee, a worried student, a phone call home, or simply offering a kind and calming presence, she handles it all with compassion, patience, and dedication.
We are incredibly thankful for the countless ways she supports our school family and helps keep our students healthy, safe, and cared for. 💛🖤
Thank you, Mrs. Sanders, for all you do for Latta Schools!

Athletic Physicals are tomorrow. Students must bring the signed physical packet in order to participate.

Latta FFA’s annual Senior Steak Supper is in the books. The food was amazing, the basketball game entertaining and their mark was left on Latta FFA when they put their brands on the board. We wish you the best in the next chapter. @iam.ffa @andy1jimenez @puertoricoffa @fundforteachers @oklahomaagriculture @okffa @ofexcellence

Thank you Oklahoma Department of Wildlife’s Wardens Hale, Beam and Johnson for taking your time today and visiting with Latta’s 3rd and 4th Grade. Warden Hale taught students how to properly and safely identify venomous and non-venomous snakes of Oklahoma in order to help us have a safe summer. Thank you again. @ofexcellence @okwildlifedept @oklahomaagriculture @fundforteachers @iam.ffa @andy1jimenez

⚾️TAKE STATE⚾️

4th and 5th grade students participated in Latta’s Buddy Day! As they prepare for the transition to middle school, students had the opportunity to meet teachers, tour the building, and get an introduction to the rules, expectations, and new privileges that come with being a middle school student. The experience ended with playground time and popsicles—because you’re never too old for a popsicle!
A special thank you to our high school cheerleaders for going above and beyond to make our students feel so welcomed, celebrated, and valued!

Latta DECA presented Mrs. Faulkner’s class with a classroom set of entrepreneur Reece Ellison’s original book.

Congratulations to Casey Hawkins for placing 9th at State in the 800m run! He improved his seeding & beat his previous best of 2:04 with a new PR of 2:01!! Great Job!!
