The 2024-23 Latta Panthers Cheer Squad had a great weekend at UCA cheer camp this weekend at OBU.
Camden Oliphant won the cheer jump off and was also selected for the 2024-25 All American Cheer Squad.
Panthers Cheer won 1st in the Camp Routine, 4th in the Situational Sideline to Cheer, and Most Improved Squad.

Latta's very own Jocelyn James has been selected as one of fifteen seniors to serve as a 2024-25 Agriculture Youth Council Member.
OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry has selected 15 high school seniors from across Oklahoma to serve on the 2024-25 Oklahoma Agriculture Youth Council.
The council was created in 2019 by Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture Blayne Arthur to develop future agricultural leaders by teaching professional skills, exposing members to diverse agricultural operations, and offering short-term job experience in agriculture fields.

Council members will serve a year-long term, with approximately seven sessions and multiple volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Sessions will include visits to Oklahoma agricultural companies and organizations, opportunities to learn about the legislative process and job shadows with industry professionals.

Congratulations to our Middle and High School flyer winners for Mental Health Awareness Week! The flyer contest empowered students to create messages addressing: How healthy behaviors improve mental health, coping with difficult feelings (stress, anxiety, sadness), healthy media behaviors, bullying prevention, and suicide prevention/awareness.
Grade winners received a $10 Walmart gift card and the site winners also received an additional $20 Walmart gift card!

May 18 was Speech Pathologist Appreciation Day and boy do we appreciate Mrs. Shelly Williams! If you've had the pleasure of having Mrs. Williams teach your child, you know she is patient, kind and a wealth of knowledge. She does so much more than speech and is truly an expert in her field. Mrs. Williams, a Facebook post doesn't begin to touch how much we appreciate you and everything you do for our students!
