Congratulations to our Lady Panthers💪! Small School Regional Champions! They placed 1st out of 30 among small schools! (2A&under) & were 4th/63 among all schools (B-6A)! Congratulations to Audrey Forshay, Laraby Jennings, Jaycie Prine, & Faith Adegbule, for earning a trip to the State Meet next week! There are 2 regions, in order to qualify for state you must place top 5 in your weight class among all lifters from all schools, then the next 5 highest totals from either region earn an at large bid for a total of 15 state qualifiers. A number of girls placed top 5 In individual events or top 10 overall which earned teams points & were in the mix for an at large spot. Nearly all the girls hit their maxes or set new PR’s! Coach Plunk's 7th grade Computer Applications class recently created interactive stories using Google Apps. They were required to use animation, sound and create a story that would teach a positive lesson. Today, they shared their stories with our Pre-K and TK classes. They all did a great job and the elementary students loved having some big kids take the time visit and teach them!

Latta Panther Caden Alexander spent his morning shooting a promotional video for Special Olympics with OKC Warriors hockey team and OCPD.

These students competed at the Seminole Speech Tournament today. They worked really hard and did a great job! Individual placements: Ricardo Charqueno and Keegan Bellefeuille - 1st place 3A Dramatic Duet Acting Bentley Hill and Isaak Hamilton- 2nd place 3A Dramatic Duet Acting Rafael Charqueno - 4th place Champions Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking All of our speech competitors have now qualified for regionals!

Isaak Hamilton got a superior rating on his solo at district vocal contest, advancing to compete at the State competition in April.

Mrs. Faulkner’s reading classes used LEGOs to bring their novel study to life. They used their teamwork + social skills to work collaboratively in small groups to create scenes from The Giver. They did a great job!📚📖🐾

Congratulations to Holden Lee on becoming Latta's 5th Oklahoma Academic All-Stater in school history! The academic All-State Award is one of the most prestigious honors in Oklahoma, presented to only 100 outstanding public high school seniors in recognition of their academic achievement, leadership, and community service. Previous winners from Latta include: Elizabeth Caton (1997), Stephanie Wilburn (2006), Elizabeth Crawford (2022), and Kyndal Schlup (2023).

We recently hosted our annual staff chili cook-off. Mr. Painter has done it again and been awarded the coveted Chili Bowl trophy! Thank you to all our participants and taste testers!

A few music students had the opportunity to attend the Women’s Choral Leadership Workshop at the University of Oklahoma today. They spent the day learning beautiful music with other high school and college students. It was a wonderful day filled with great music!

Our Latta Lady Panthers💪placed 1st out of 35 & our Panthers💪placed 4th out of 53 @ the Chickasha small school meet today! They hit or attempted a lot of new PR’s! Proud of their effort! We missed our DECA kids but know they’re representing well at DECA state!! & missed our guy Mathew Sanders who’s at home recovering from surgery!
